Like You

Two young girls from Brandenburg, both 15 years old. Tina (Anna Lena Klenke) is popular and conforms to the usual ideals of beauty. The rather inconspicuous Marlene (Runa Greiner) all too often has to take a back seat. Nevertheless, life feels exciting: First sexual experiences are gained. At night, the girls roam around with the boys, living between alcohol excesses, soccer stadiums and village discos. But Marlene, who is mocked by the boys on their nightly outings, becomes more and more distant from herself - until frustration and envy of Tina's looks put their long-standing friendship to the test... “The film makes the longing for love, for closeness, for a true feeling for others and for oneself for others and oneself, shows failure and all its pain with consistency and clarity.
